We are a friendly group of amateur astronomers devoted to promoting astronomy to the community in North Queensland.
Our mission:
- Foster the science of Astronomy
- Perform outreach activities to promote astronomy within schools and with the general public
- Provide a focus for astronomy in Townsville.
- Assist other clubs and government organisations to promote astronomy
- To hold meetings and social events with like-minded astronomers
General Information:
Members of TAG meet monthly at the Aitkenvale Library for Club Meetings, fortnighly at the Strand, and weekly at our Oak Valley site for dark sky observing.
