I am seeking am little bit of guidance.. I have An NEQ6 pro mount and am confused as to how you align it to the south celestial pole. Cant find any information on the internet. Only for Northern hemisphere. Could someone please help clear my foggy brain? Thankyou. :)

Hi Kelly

Have you checked this article out? astronomytsv.org.au/index.php/education/articles/tech-tips/80-polar-alignment-without-polaris

I have recently mounted my NEQ6 on a pedestal and that is the method I have used for the initial alignment.

cheers Dave

HI Kelly

Assuming you have a polar scope internally mounted ( standard issue for these mounts) then you should see a reticle in there which you can use to align ( if you have a dark enough site)
However the hand controller does have a polar align routine which works pretty well also - have you looked at that? Once you do the initial two star alignment you can then progress to the polar align routine which will do the trick

If you have any issues give me a ring 0437744599
cheers

Dave
